I've been seeing the NCG crowd playing up the kids left in cars angle against casinos a lot recently. Let me be clear, leaving a child in a hot car to die while you do something else is reprehensible. But how can they (NCG) use the actions of those assholes as an indictment of casino and gambling? I just got done reading a story about a Florida pastor whose 14 month old died after being left in the car outside his church. Does this mean we should hold this against organized religion or the the church parish? Of course it doesn't. It happens at malls all over the country hundreds of times a year. Does the store the parent went to bear responsibility? No way. What the hell has happened to personal responsibility in this country? Groups like NCG that continue to perpetuate this "it's always someone else's fault" attitude are a disgrace. But this happened outside of a church to a minister. It was obviously God's will. And it happened at the end of August in North Miami to a 3 year old in an SUV - right outside of his home. You miss the point; we all miss the point - that NCG is attempting to make. If this happens to forgetful parents it is a tragic accident. If it happens to sinful gamblers it's murder. NCG rationale is so simplistic so what they are implying should be so clear to everyone. Except for people with brains who realize that stupid is stupid no matter what the circumstance.

They don't understand, or maybe think that the general public can't understand that anything that can happen at a casino can happen at most any other location. People can do most anything they can do at a casino, at the local market, fast food restaurant, or anyplace else. But as said, if it happens someplace else, it is an accident, but should it happen at a casino it is a crime caused by the casino. Heaven forbid people should be responsible for their own actions. It is always the fault of someone or something else.

There is no personal responsibilty anymore it is always someone else's fault. As a kid if we got in trouble at school we got in more trouble at home, now parents blame the teachers. Parents even go as far as calling their kids off sick at work so they can go to a party - several years ago I had a teen working for me that I let go - not 20 minutes later I had the parent calling me to find out why - I told her speak to your daughter she knows why - the parent then went on to demand I give her daughter her job back - just crazy the mother was not on my payroll the daughter was and I ended the call.
