How many went to the fantastic program at the Pennsylvania Monument last night?
The United States Marine Corps Band and the West Point Cadet Glee Club put on an amazing show.
And I am sure the fireworks had every cat in town puking.

I heard it from my house (the fireworks/cannons). I only got as close as the Red, Yellow, and Blue Section signs they held up, and the CMOH with arrows

I hate to rub it in, or maybe I do, but you all missed a great show.
The United States Marine Corps Band, and the West Point Cadet Clee Club did an outstanding job.

Maybe if everyone knew that Tom Selleck was going to show up... ! Okay, maybe it's just me, but here we have the Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients gathered in Gettysburg, and Tom Selleck gets front page. Yes, the Times has had very good coverage of the CMOH, and it was our fault if we didn't participate in one way or another. But I would have preferred to see a group photo or a series of photos of the Heroes. I guess in the long run, it doesn't really matter. If I had wanted to attend, I should have gotten up off my ass and done so instead of waiting to see news of it in the paper - written the way I think it should be written. Opportunities like this one are rare indeed. We should be grateful that we even have the option to attend something like this. I think the people of Gettysburg fail to realize just how special this place can be as a destination. Sometimes I believe they actually go out of their way to stifle this "commodity".Many places would kill to have the draw that Gettysburg has. Well, technically, killing IS how it got on the map in the first place.

I attended the great concert and the spectaculor fireworks display and thoroughly enjoyed a great evening. I also noticed the fantastic visual blue hue placed on all of the monuments and thought that was a really great touch. Was that something that the Park Service did or was that done by the CMOH organizers? Maybe that is something that could be done for large events or celebrations in the future?

I think that "blue hue" was really the Aura of Spirits, enjoying the show with you

I don't know who was responsible, but it was kind of cool wasn't it? Was it all the monuments, or just those from the PA Monument to the Cyclorama Drive? I got a picture of one, and tried to dive out as soon as I got back to my truck to see if I could get some pictures of some of the others, but still wasn't allowed in. A couple of us were talking about it, and you would think in this day and age, they could maybe use some low voltage lighting for that, and use solar chargers, so it would be a continuous thing. And I really liked the way the Pennsylvania Monument was illuminated.
