Lifesaver, Just to clarify those are crickets and not cockroaches. Although, I can understand your confusion about the identification of those bugs and therefore immediately thought of Paddock, who we know is "respecting your voice".

I am copying a pic of the correct insect for comparison. Cumberland Township Residents! When it comes to people like Mr. Paddock, like cockroaches, there is ALWAYS more than one. Don't let apathy determine the future of your township. Vote wisely to move Cumberland Twp. forward, not back.

Ok, the first pic I posted is what you hear after asking Deputy Sheriff for a direct answer. The above pic is one of Paddock's High School yearbook picture.

Deputy Sheriff's receive training for their job and most of the Sheriff's in PA have been a Deputy and know the job very well, this is especially helpful in a small county like Adams so they can help out when needed. Too many people think the Sheriff's are just an administrator or director ?? Not sure where they got that idea. Maybe larger counties can do that, but not the smaller ones. It would be a train-wreck for a Sheriff to know nothing about the job and be in charge of Deputies who have had 19 weeks of training, experience and knowledge of what they do, as to a Constable who serves a few limited papers and a couple warrants a year and has transported a prisoner to now have to handle and be responsible for Real Estate sales, issuing gun permits/license to sell firearms, know the regulations of levies on personal property, extraditions of prisoners from out of state regulations, and has never been in the courtroom with inmates (practices & procedures), cannot do traffic stops in an emergency situation, the list goes on. The Sheriff's Office is not trying to be a Police Dept. that is obviously coming from the opponent. You might want to check the York, Cumberland, Franklin, Dauphin County Sheriff's Offices and see what the Sheriff's Office really does. these are just the surrounding counties.

I have talked with some in the local lawyers office and before Sheriff Muller was elected the working relationship with the lawyer's offices and Sheriff's Department was very smooth when Muller got into office he started changing everything and continues to do so, why change things when things were running efficiently already. He constantly changes forms that have to be filled out and other things.
Also why does the Sheriff's office need a Police horse? When does it get used for police business? Same goes for the K-9 unit, that is something that the Townships have and use but how often does it get used in the Sheriff's Office?

I used to know his name but the memory escapes me at the moment. One place I always remember seeing him was the Gettysburg High School football games. I think his purpose was just to patrol the area to make sure none of us kids were doing bad stuff (like hanky panky under the bleachers ) I have seen Sheriff Muller with his dog at recent events during the summer, again I believe it was just a presence to help maintain order where large groups of people congregate. In this day and age I don't think that's a bad idea.

They were his, with no commitment to the County except he liked to use them. I know the horse had some crowd control training, but I'm not sure the dog had any training, but they looked good, and he was out in public with both often.

Does the current sheriff want or have a horse that taxpayers pay for?

No - the Sheriff takes care of all expenses for the K-9 Dog and the Horse and any time is volunteer - there is no pay for any evening or weekend hours - also note that the K-9 Dog and the Horse were donated to Sheriff Muller so no taxpayer money has been used to add a valuable resource for the citizens of Adams County. Anyone can check the Budget on the Adams County Website to see that "real" figures for the Budget of the Sheriff.

Why isn't the current dog owned by the county if needed. Where does the liability lie? Sheriff Muller receives a salary, so any time spent with the animals as Sheriff he has been compensated. Why is a 68 year old man a dog handler. This should be a deputies duty if needed. He said that he had no problem paying the former K9 handler what was owed, why did she have to sue to get her money. See electredding.com for the facts! Mike has the TWO lawsuits posted on his site. As another said Muller is honesty challenged!

Glad to hear the horse isn't on county money. There are horses on county money here, but the county I live in now has over a million people in it. The horses are still probably a waste of money.
