There is a fairly new, very impressive sign along Rte. 30 for The Inn at Herr's Ridge. Very snazzy and a nice color combination.

Thanks guys. Sometimes, somebody trusts the Sign Maker with 37 years experience! Other times, I have to provide sketches with "... the letters in green, instead of blue, so I can see how that looks." (insert emoticon with middle finger extended) BTW, there's a "new" sign guy moving into town. Across from the Library on Baltimore Street. As loyal as MY CUSTOMERS are, I guess I've got nothing to worry about

There is a new business on the FF road where the My Brothers Pizza is. It's a day spa. That sign, with thin white lettering on a pale blue background, is difficult to read as you drive by. Bet someone else made that.

Also want to welcome a new Sign Business to Gettysburg. Marty Mummert Studio will be a nice addition to the neighborhood. Marty was located in East Berlin, PA. He's on Baltimore Street, across from the library. Hand-lettering and rustic signs and artwork. Nice guy. Welcome to Gettysburg, Marty Gene

Welcome to Gettysburg, Marty Gene Sounds like there is room for both of you in town, and that's great! It's all in personal preference.

Some dear friends had signs made for their businesses. The "creator" had done a previous sign and insisted on doing the new ones. He fought with the owner who refused to talk to him again - he used a mediator. The signmaker refused to create what the owner(s) wanted. Apparently it was a bad experience all around.
No, it wasn't the sign maker with 37 years experience although he probably cringes when he sees the signs (I do) because they're barely visible from the road.

Gene, you are a class act. Competing businesses too many times take the negative approach when someone else enters their arena.

I can personally say that I have used Gene for signs on a number of occasions and have always been satisfied with his work. I am sure Mr. Mummert is a nice guy, but my business is staying put.
