The year 2013 is drawing to a close and soon we will be starting a new year of 2014.
I have a few hopes for the new year I would like to share.
I hope the end of the year 2014 will find all of my friends healthy, in good spirits and find themselves to be financially stable..
I hope the end of the year 2014, will find new businesses in the community providing new experiences, opportunities and jobs for our local people as well as our neighbors.
I hope the end of the year 2014 will find some of those projects that we have been reading about in the local paper that have been in the planning stages for years have come to fruition, thus providing employment for people during the construction, and once they are open.
I hope that during the year 2014, none of my friends will experience any accidents or health issues of any kind.
I hope that during the year 2014, there will be no military awards for heroism, because none of our military will be placed in a position where acts of heroism will be necessary.
I hope that in the year 2014 no police officer of firefighter will be awarded a decoration for heroism because conditions will never require them to place themselves in danger.
I hope that during the year 2014 none of our service men or women will be brought home in a coffin and that there will be no need for the honor guard at the airports.
I hope the honor guards at the National Cemeteries will be unneeded and will be assigned to other duties.
I hope that this time next year (December 31, 2014) will find all of our military personnel home and safely in the arms of their family and friends.
If you share any of these hopes, please share with others, and please add your own here.

I would like to add that I hope our legislative officials have an epiphany of common sense and we begin to govern our country in the spirit of common sense, fairness, and the Constitutional principles which made our country great, instead of partisan bickering, gamesmanship, and political correctness.

I hope that FMB continues wearing those Rose Colored Glasses
Or maybe he has a Rose Colored Crystal Ball? I hope that we are all here to "Ditto" those 2014 Wishes for 2015.

I don't say much any longer (collective sighs of relief are anticipated) but I do care about you folks.
For FMB, may your wishes come true.
For lifesaver, don't hold your breath.
For Venter, "Ditto" your "Ditto."
I hope you all have a happy, healthy and personally wealthy New Year.
For me, I hope my mother recovers from the last two rounds of hospitalization one week apart. (She's aging me quickly). And I promise that I will never pretend to be a Rockette again. A broken wrist followed by surgery to repair a torn tendon is not fun. I further promise that it will probably be a year until you hear from me again.

... I further promise that it will probably be a year until you hear from me again. It's a good thing that most New Years Resolutions are never kept. HoneyBadger, you'd better stay in touch MORE often in 2014.

HoneyBadger, you'd better stay in touch MORE often in 2014. Perhaps, Venter, when my cast is removed and my mother completes another round of physical therapy, I will come to visit you. I miss your humor but truly, I don't have much to say about anything. Well, except twerking. If I bent over and shook my bountiful booty like that I'd get dizzy and pass out.
