>:(There is something wrong with this picture - The Mexican president visits the US and decries any attempt to control illegal immigration. The "bleeding hearts" rally in favor of rights FOR illegal immigrants. Political uproar over immigration reform, BUT: Michael Waller of the Center for Security Policy reports that Mexico's immigration laws are much stricter than U.S. immigration laws. According to Waller, the Mexican constitution bans immigrants AND NATURALIZED CITIZENS from most public-service positions, authorizes PRIVATE CITIZENS TO ARREST illegal immigrants and turn them over to the authorities, and allows the government to expel ANY immigrant FOR ANY REASON AND WITHOUT DUE PROCESS!! In addition, Waller reports that foreigners are ADMITTED to the country ONLY after proving they have "THE NECESSARY FUNDS FOR THEIR SUSTENANCE" and only if their presence does not disturb "THE EQUILIBRIUM OF THE NATIONAL DEMOGRAPHICS"!! According to Fragomen, an international law firm specializing in immigration, "Employers that violate Mexican immigration laws are subject to fines of up to 100 times the minimum wage...Foreign nationals who violate the terms of their stay in Mexico are subject to IMMEDIATE DEPORTATION"!! Talk about changing the national demographics - just take a look around ANY town, including all the local communities. It's about time we start exercising our rights as a sovereign nation and put a stop to all the BS. A border is a border. Cross it illegially and get shipped to an open air tent city "holding camp" in Fargo or International Falls for the winter. Bring drugs across - firing squad at the border so all your friends can see also. It's time to take a stand and take back OUR country. Out with the BS Bleeding Hearts. Time to put a little steel in our backbones because if we don't, soon our country will no longer be OUR country.

Of course you are referring only to that land which Americans actually own. Not the land owned by China, Japan, Switzerland, the British, the Dutch, etc. Then, too, we have all of the Americans who are employed by foreign companies.
Our country??? In name - yes. In actual property rights???
Please someone, correct me. Tell me that the rich haven't sold us out to foreigners.

Found this from Lou Dobbs on Fragamen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrapEizmuyMFound this from Fox News re Mexico's immigration problem. Sounds like they know they've got some work to do. Check the last sentence. www.foxnews.com/world/2011/01/02/apnewsbreak-mexico-plans-immigration-shake/Not to be a smart ass, but isn't OUR country made up entirely of immigrants to one degree or another. My family came from Germany in the 1800's. Immigration is a huge problem that needs specific solutions that are consistent with OUR countries governing philosophy. I'm not sure border fanaticism and detention centers are the answer.

Yes I'm sure everyones families are foreign but they are LEGAL and these people coming across the boarder ILLEGALLY have no intentions of becomeing LEGAL and pay taxes for the services they get now for free. The thing that pisses me off about this whole topic is that there are wack jobs out there that don't understand or don't want to understand the words LEGAL and ILLEGAL! It is black and white apples and oranges it is a simple as the nose on your face!
I'm not bashing you poindexter I know you were just saying.

Not to mention that when they came they came in the 1800's they came wanting to be AMERICANS, they wanted to acclimate to the American culture, bring their traditions and melting them in with those of others already here. They wanted to LEARN English and work hard to build great lives, abide by American laws and live the "American dream". In my mind, that is the difference between then and now... Many of those who are coming now are defined by their contempt for the law, by breaking it immediately by the virtue of their illegal entry, they do not want to assimilate to our culture, they want us to assimilate to theirs and they have no intention of learning English, they expect us to learn their language AND they expect us to afford them the social benefits that are paid for off the backs of tax paying citizens...

I wonder when we'll begin changing state names to reflect which country owns the most land in each state. If Switzerland owns 51% of Pennsylvania we could be Switzervania. The possibilities are endless.
