According to B.J. Small's "Reporter's Notebook", Saturday, Sept. 19, there will be no more Casino-related Letters to the Editor accepted for publishing in the Gettysburg Times, except as noted. "Casino Letters that aren't a rehash of earlier points will be considered."I think it's kinda strange to post this in the notebook section, instead of as a story, or a box on the Editorial Page, but at least it's posted here now. I think that's a great idea, as long as he publishes my letter first  * So that means no more Dan Siderio!?We can only hope... he hasn't said anything new since 2005. *(actually I never wrote one). |

Someone must have tipped Dan off. There's an LTE of his up on the Times site dated today.  (has it been 30 days already?) Oh yeah and Violet is on the warpath again on their Facebook page, this time against Scot Pitzer because of the blog he wrote yesterday about the governors comments. Violet Taylor Clark: Here again, poor Scot misses the point, as he is so blinded by his own bias. One has to wonder why he even goes to the trouble to write this jibberish. Violet Taylor Clark: Doesn't matter what he was the last time. He is Pro Casino, has been from the start of this fight, and it is a shame the Times continues to allow him such journalistic "freedom" to report with bias rather than truth. Rendell should have spoken up before now, but I applaud his willingness to say no in the face of political/social pressure from his friends. How long do locals have to suffer being attacked by this woman from 700 miles away? Can we get 200 people to report her to Facebook? I mean, she did say in her complaint that the videos Matt did were effecting her career. Couldn't the same be said about her posts and Scot's career? HYPOCRITES |

A friend of my just tuned me into the fact that Dan Siderio is sending letters to EVERY paper in the world. Mr. "I have no life without the casino debate" Siderio had a letter about that New York produced piece of sappy crap video printed in the Delaware County Daily Times. www.delcotimes.com/articles/2010/09/28/opinion/doc4ca165313e431308751158.txtThe good news is that no one reads that paper. Honest question here. From Keith Miller to the Siederios to the Paddocks I have to ask, do any of these people have jobs or families or lives? This Siderio clown has to be responsible for a third of all the no casino LTE's I've read regardless of what publication they were printed in. I know they like to come out with all these wonderful altruistic reasons for why they feel compelled to fight this proposal but could it be they just have nothing better to do with their time? And where does all this commitment go when the casino issue is settled? The last time around the NCG folks vanished the day after the decision never to be seen doing anything community oriented again. |
