From today's Times: On Nov. 21, 1989 the Gettysburg Times published a section entitled "Borough Police Activities" on page 3. In that section the following sentence was published: "Borough police arrested Farhad Eshaghpour on unspecified charges. The Times learned that Mr. Eshaghpour was not in Gettysburg, but was studying out of the country from Aug. 28, 1989 to Dec. 8, 1989. The Gettysburg borough police have stated that they have no records of Mr. Eshaghpour being arrested, and that a subsequent National Criminal Records search have found no criminal records for Mr. Eshaghpour. Well, I'm glad they finally cleared THAT up.

Lifesaver, I read the correction, but SOMEHOW I didn't even register the old dates in my mind. So I wonder what actually happened? Did someone get arrested, and just chose to use the name "Farhad Eshaghpour" as an alias? I would have chosen something easier to spell, like Elmer Fudd

I'm guessing someone did one of those internet search things whereby they are trying clean up their record.

Perhaps one of the Fords was handling the police report feature for the Times back then.

Perhaps one of the Fords was handling the police report feature for the Times back then. Probably not. The name Farhad Eshaghpour was spelled correctly. ;D
