September 12/, 2008 Micheaux State Forest near the Adams/Cumberland County lines: While hiking in the forest, witnesses discover two defined footprints measuring 8.5” long, 6” wide an 2.5” deep. They also hear brush breaking and smell strong urine smell in area. February 15, 2007: 4am: Caledonia Park: Witness was leaving work around 3:30am driving down rte 30 and took a right turn onto rte 233 north thru Caledonia Park. After going about 2 miles he grazed a deer and stopped to see if there was any damage. The witness could hear something big moving around and then heard the loudest cry or howling he had ever heard in his life. He jumped in his truck and drove away from the area. The witness stated he knows wildlife screams and sounds, but had never heard anything like this before. February 29, 2004 Waynesboro Reservoir: Two unusual tracks discovered in snow. There were no tracks leading too or away from the tracks. The tracks did not resemeble human or any known animal tracks. April 2003 Waynesboro: One unusual track is discovered along side a dirt road. The track measured 15 inches long. Report courtesy of Rick Fisher of the Paranormal Society of Pennsylvania www.paranormalpa.netFebruary 14, 2002 Waynesboro Reservoir: Two brothers visiting the reservoir discover over 300 unusual tracks that walk the distance of the reservoir. Rick Fisher investigates, and casts several tracks. The discovery of the tracks draws attention of the local media, game wardens and hundreds of curiosity seekers. No creature was sighted. January 1998: Gettysburg: A man and his wife were driving home at about 1 AM (this night was very clear and moonlight) on Rte 116 between Gettysburg & Fairfield, when a 7 to 8 foot tall creature stepped over a fence and walked across the road in front of them. It easily stepped over a 4 to 5 foot fence and crossed the road in only 2 or 3 steps. The animal stopped in the middle of the field and looked back at the car. At this time the man stopped the car to observe the creature. The creatures hair was mostly dark brown to black but also appeared to be reddish in color. Both witnesses stated that the creatures eyes were very peculiar. They were very visibly red even then the cars headlights were not shining into them. : Courtesy of www.paresearchers.com website October 1997: Michaux State Forest near Tick Tock and Pine Ridge Lane: This sighting occurred in a forest at a high elevation where there are mainly white pines, oaks and enormous amounts of mountain laurel and rhododendrons. The witness awoke for a morning bow hunt. He walked a half a mile or so to an area where deer sightings had previously occurred. He was walking towards his deer stand when he heard this noise that scared the "H---" out of him, but continue on to his tree stand. Shortly after daybreak, he heard several deer crashing through the laurel towards him. It appeared that something had spooked or startled them. A few minutes later he heard a kind of a strange crunching sound coming towards him. The witness saw several flashes of brown hair through the thick laurel. He then realized it was a bipedal creature standing about 7 to 8 foot tall. It was covered in matted hair. Then two more creatures approached very fast. These two stopped and he got a fairly good look at them. One appeared smaller than the first one and it was dragging a baby along with it. These two fled the area very quickly and it seemed as if they were following the first one. The creatures smelled like foul garbage. : Courtesy of www.paresearchers.com website June 1997 Michaux State Forest: This incident occurred just before dusk, just off of Rte 233N, 7 miles north of Rte 30, elevation around 1800 feet. The witness was sitting on his deck when he heard two howls, similar to a howler monkey, but the strength and duration of these two howls was absolutely phenomenal. Courtesy of www.paresearchers.com website June 1992/1993: Gettysburg: This incident occurred on the porch of a cabin. The witness, about 10 years old, was trying to fall asleep around 10 pm, when he heard a few stomps outside of his window. This creature, which appeared to be 5 1/2 to 6 foot tall passed by the window (the curtain was closed). The creature had a fairly large head and very broad shoulders. The next morning he went outside to investigate and there was a very large footprint. It was very visible because surrounding it was dirt and bits of grass. Courtesy of www.paresearchers.com website www.pabigfootsociety.com/I believe they exist but I've never seen a "real" one. I once dated a guy who looked like one; maybe he has discovered depilatories by now. However, bears pee in the woods and I used to until one night Many pounds ago I heard a noise behind me and to my right. I looked over my shoulder and saw a huge shape behind me. It was standing upright and had long arms. I didn't take a longer look at it. I never would have believed that I could pull up my panties and my shorts while running and dive into the open passenger window of a Corvair but I did. Trying to make my friends understand me telling them to drive was more difficult. Marsh Creek - bigfoot territory???

the mental image of the above actions by HB staggers the imagination! Those were the days when I was thin, fast and very limber. These days I doubt that I could my body airborne. Seriously, though, the sight was terrifying. I can still picture the scene, the sound of branches breaking and my turning my head to look over my right shoulder. I had scoped out the entire area and saw nothing prior to seeing whatever was behind me. Five miles down the road we pulled over, I accomplished my mission and pulled out a clump of irises for my mother's flower bed.

I can't believe that anyone would entertain the notion that there was a real bigfoot. Probably 300 million+ operating devices in the US that could take a picture, plus all those there for the last 150 years and nobody has a picture.
The bigfoot stuff is a lot like cold readers and everything else that's fake, it's entertaining enough to get people to spend money and it'll never go away as long as there is a loose dollar in someone's hands.
That's too bad.

Now, I have no doubt that there are people out there that look to capitalize on the paranormal and phenomenons like Big Foot or the Loch Ness Monster. But I will tell you that I have experienced events a time or two that can't be explained away by rational thought. I didn't pay anyone to "make" it happen for me. But it was pretty cool to experience.

Prove to me that God exists and I'll believe that bigfoot doesn't exist. I don't think people would call it faith if there was scientific proof. If bigfoot is your religion, by all means. I expect pictures that aren't pranks, and plenty of them, if there are so many "bigfoots" that they could reproduce. Instead, we get low-wit stories about bigfoots, hoax pictures, and TV shows that aren't remotely close to the bare minimum of airable content.

But it was pretty cool to experience. Yeah, I know nobody likes someone to stop their fun. I probably had a moment or two that I couldn't reason through where I thought I heard something, but looking back, it's FAR more likely I couldn't figure out what normal circumstances made a sound or event occur vs. them being driven by the "paranormal". I think we're far enough along in society that we can put that stuff to rest.

I will not say I agree or disagree with the belief that "big foot" does exist. But I have been watching the series on TV about it, and they have come up with some interesting info. For those who believe it exist great, for those who don't that is fine also.
I must say from my position, I would like to see some real proof.
I was just wondering if anyone here has had any experience that they THINK may have been Big Foot.

If that's true then Cain killed his brother. And where did the offspring of those four originate? Oh, that's right, there were other people but the Bible didn't mention them until later. Yup. There is scientific proof of evolution but you probably believe that the world is flat so evolution has to be a lie. I didn't say that bigfoot is my religion. There's no way I would tramp through the woods looking for a large, hairy, smelly creature presumably capable of tearing my head off. Unless of course I were being paid for doing so AND had a camera crew to document my findings. I was raised a Lutheran. My religion now is Mother Earth and Father Sky. You, davew, take things far to seriously.

Do I believe in “big foot”? I am still not sure. I have been watching the series on searching for big foot, or what ever it is called.
These stories have gone back hundreds to thousands of years, and all over the world. It isn’t something started in a small community a few years ago to increase visitation.
Some of the people they interviewed who claimed to have seen this creature appeared to be very credible folks, while with some of the others, I’m not sure I would believe them if they told me it will get dark this evening.
The people on this program have examined all of the “evidence” and found some to be credible, and have proven other things wrong.
Their biggest argument against such a thing is the lack of evidence, but they also provided possible reasons for that lack of evidence.
Until I see an actual picture, or better yet someone “captures” one of these creatures I will remain skeptical about it.

You, davew, take things far to seriously. You stepped way out there and made a straw person who has nothing to do with me. Regardless of the circumstances that make you believe that there might be a bigfoot out there, it's kind of depressing to me that we live in a society where so much information and ability to become more intelligent is available to people, but so many folks spend their time believing this stuff is out there or likely out there. I *hope* that they only play along because they wish it was true in their fantasy world, and not because they actually believe it's true. I'm not sure what evolution has to do with bigfoot being fake or not. Actually, I'm sure...it has nothing to do with it, so I'm not sure why you brought that up. The fact is everything that's ever had to do with it has been a hoax or hearsay. If there was something to it, we'd know by now. We're not talking about a 1 inch long bright green frog in some part of the amazon, we're talking about a hairy human sized thing that supposedly walks around and makes calls (and is reported to *not* be invisible). You are right about one thing, I don't like to have fun where having fun means I have to make an arse out of myself unintentionally.

To use a New Oxford colloquialism, "Alls I know is"....... I have a good friend whose parents let our group of friends go up to their cabin in Fulton County whenever we want. We end up making a pilgrimage twice per year. Last spring I worked my way west and spent the night there alone on Thursday night whereas everyone else arrived during the day Friday. I am a country guy and have heard a lot of stuff. I know rabbit, bear, wolf, owl, dog etc.. At one point around 2 A.M.. I heard 3 separate calls from three separate directions all honing in on one of the calls that obviously caught a rabbit. Over the next 5 minutes they all gathered for their feast. I went and got a steak knife out of the "kitchen" and laid back on the couch. Never heard calls like that prior or since. 70 degree night, nice breeze, creepy noises. It was a fun night. Sasquatch? I don't really think so but who knows. I have no idea what it was and I am no city slicker. What I can tell you is it is easy to understand where this stuff comes from.

Yeah, since the beginning of time we have been making up crackpot stories to explain stuff we can't trivially explain in 3 seconds. Of course, we're not really interested in revising, revisiting, or being correct once we make something up to explain away unknowns.
Could very easily have been three guys hunting something illegally.

Not much chance of 3 human hunters poaching rabbit at 2:00 A.M. and have one catch one with out firing a shot. It was definitely an odd situation and one that I'll never have an answer to....... Unless they find 3 sasquatch up in Fulton County!

"While hiking in the forest, witnesses discover two defined footprints measuring 8.5” long, 6” wide an 2.5” deep. They also hear brush breaking and smell strong urine smell in area." I would not call 8.5" big foot, but many say that length does not matter? My foot would then qualify for freakin huge foot sightings, and yes I do pee in the woods sometimes too.
