This is a walk off post Venter. You are so right with this post that you should have just locked the thread after you hit the submit button.
Why would he lock it? To keep people from expressing well supported and reasonable opposing opinions to yours? No, I think he meant that it was a good enough wrap-up of this Topic. BTW, Thanks Blonde and Lifesaver - once it gets over 6 lines or so, I don't expect many people to read my "Manifestos". ;D Davew, you'll notice that once the "news" about a certain issue is older, the conversations begin to get a bit... well... hinky - and devolves into mush! I won't usually close a Topic - they usually end in a slow painful death

Most folks won't admit it, but if you locked every topic that fermented a little bit, there would be crickets when the forum was opened. One of the things I like most about this forum is that fermentation is where in among the stink, people blurt out what they really think. Plus, that's where we get really the most ridiculous strawmen, arguments and exaggeration that are comic relief

It's not nonense at all, it's a general observation about human nature. Lighten up Francis.

My gosh why should discussion ever continue on a fucking discussion board of all things. For fucks sake this just simply isn't the place to be having drawn out discussions.

Back to the OT. I just read this comment on a blog in regards to the incident here. WARNING: THIS IS WHAT SOMEONE POSTED ON A BLOG! Not me and I'm not even saying it's all true or even partly true. "This story took place in my hometown. It appears the police haven’t pressed any charges against the Firefighter as they are all friends, close friends (Officer’s Discretion). However they charged a person an innocent citizen who posted a few comments on Fire Departments public form Website. Explain that one! Due to the child being a minor and an adult taking the pictures and posting them are Cyber Harassment and not just Cyber Bullying. These small town Police Officers getting personal involved seems fishy!"I wonder if someone was charged with making comments? If so what were the comments? Surely this would have been in the paper right? Don't they list all police incidents? Has anyone seen anything? Here is the blog link firelawblog.com/2013/02/cyberbullying-the-ugly-side-of-social-media/

I wonder if he would've apologized to the family if he hadn't gotten caught.
