The word unconstitutional comes to mind.

I wish Maryland legislators would pipe up and express their view on this.

As far as "unConstitutional," historical buffers have been established elsewhere. I don't support them however anywhere.

Once again, Tim Prudente is being brainwashed by No Casino Gettysburg. He'll never learn.
The buffer zone is illegal, and will not make it out of committee.

And this buffer will 'extend' into another state.

There is no support for this from our local legislators.

I will beat my dead horse one more time NCG can go fuck themselves there was no buffer around Philly and with out Philly they would still be bowing to some GOD DAMN royals , and if they allowed it there i would be for putting one at the PA monument, OK maybe not there but you know what i mean .Just for those stupid people , THERE WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN A CIVIL WAR WITHOUT THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR which makes Philly more HOLLOWED than any place in this country dumb people need to study the whole history instead of one part in time that involved LAZY WHITE PEOPLE who loved enslaving their own countrymen they make me fucking sick .OH and for the record i used no caps when using the word royals because i am American and they deserve no respect , although the British people deserve much respect .

From the NCG FB site
There already is solid protection, the defined boundaries of the GNMP.

I don't know about federal, but buffers have been ordained around historic districts wherein the restrictions were actually more severe than within the district itself. I was living in Bucks County when they established a historic buffer around the Carversville Historic District, which apparently held up in court even though what you could do within the buffer was more stringent than what you could do within the actual historic district.

I cannot find any instance of a successful buffer extending over state lines. Anybody else know of any?

Not close to being the same really. That sounds like a local thing much like zoning. We have that in Gettysburg already with all of the special things we have in place. This is Federal, limits one specific business at one specific park. Not a chance.
