They are open 6a-10p and serve breakfast all day. I haven't been in yet but it is on my to do list soon. Please give them a try and support new business in the area.

Had lunch there today. Just a burger but the menu looks pretty good, and for me they have a senior menu.
I wish them luck, i was there just about noon and there were nine other diners there, not bad for only being open less than a week.
Parking will be their biggest problem, as the lot was full when I was there.

Just came back from breakfast there. Good prices and serving size and the food was good. Lots of menu choices at a fair price. Check them out. They don't have a lot of money for advertising so they are depending a lot on word of mouth. I think they will do a great lunch business with their menu choices. Anything from salads, wraps and I think even fajitas. Give them a try, hours 6a-10p seven days a week. Serving breakfast all day. Support our local economy!

I know that it sounds strange but my wife and I ate breakfast, lunch, AND dinner there today! We arrived at our shop earlier than necessary so we stopped in at 7am for breakfast. I had two eggs, hash browns, a big piece of ham, and French toast for just $5.95. Many of their prices are insanely low. (You can get two eggs, hash browns, and toast for less than $2.00!) And it isn't greasy-spoon food either -- we thought the quality was excellent and the staff is very friendly. I had only a short break for lunch between tours so I ran over there (it is just three doors away from us) for a cup of soup, sandwich, and chips. The sandwich was so big, I couldn't eat it all. The two of us ate lunch for a total of $14.00, including drinks. At the end of a long day, we were too tired and sweaty to go anywhere so we stopped in at 8:30pm for our third meal of the day . We just said "Surprise us!" and they brought us a couple of delicious stir fry dishes. Each was $9.95 with two sides. The Mother's Day special is if you buy one dinner you get another at half price -- and Mom gets a free desert. When you're starting at such low prices, that is a steal. I know that the Mexican place that was previously in that location had a bad reputation (dirty, ... etc.) but the new proprietors have gutted the place and rebuilt in from the ground up. The place is very clean, the food is great, and the prices are unbelievable. I'm sure that we'll be eating there frequently. I hope that others will support this great new local business!

The key qualification here is "serving size". Well, for me it is. I didn't develop this waistline by pushing myself away from the table. Another diner opened on Baltimore St across from the library last year. Really enjoyed the quality, prices were too low and the owners/help were great people. BUT...we walked out hungry. Seems to me that the main point in going to a restaurant is to walk out full.

Seems to me that the main point in going to a restaurant is to walk out full. May I add comfortably full. I get almost as upset when I get a good meal and can't eat it all. When I stop for lunch, I don't have any way to take a "doggie" bag out with me, as I will be traveling in my vehicle. But I do agree, however with different size appetites it is difficult to not have too much for some, and have others leaving hungry. But give the place a try and see how they do. But if the place across from the library is your standard, I believe the portions are about the same.

Oh, I'll try any place once, especially if it's a local one instead of a chain. The worse thing that can happen is that I'll say 'BTDT'. Low prices tend to talk me out of trying a place because I know they have to make something and if they have to cut down on the portions then what the use in going?

Getysbg, the next time you and the Mrs. are in town let me know and we can try it together, I have not tried it myself yet either.

Hey! If it has the room, why not another Borovent convention? That's a great idea but I'll pass on any more conventions. I took too much heat for the last one. Alex P. Keaton is usually the BV convention guy. He'll organize if he's in the mood.

That would be terrific but I must come back to work and me smelling of a Guinness would be all my "friends" would need to nail me to the wall. I had an gag picture of Obama which a friend had given me in my cubicle. Someone saw it & the next thing I knew a building wide message went out about the Hatch Act.

HA! Last time I was the guest of honor anywhere there was a firing squad there also. Seriously, our trips to town are almost at the drop of a hat, so what ever day you guys settle on, we'll try to make it. I have to work every other Saturday and this Saturday is my turn.

Saturday is the 21st and if my mother survives her surgery I will be bringing her home from the hospital. Alex, I don't believe that you have a mean bone in your body but the open invitation makes me ill so even if I didn't have other plans; I'd have other plans. My grandfather told me a long time ago that only a fool breaks bread with enemies. I'm many things but I won't be a fool for some NCG members. Getysbg, please take no offense at my comments. I'm on edge waiting for my mother's surgery and the closer the date comes the worse I am. I'm so looking forward to you and Nancy moving to Gettysburg because you were the first BV members I met at Tommie's. You two hold a special place in my heart.

Mom goes in to the hospital Monday morning (the 16th) for her surgery. If all goes well she must remain in the hospital four days after surgery. So, I will be eating out during the week - probably at the hospital. Saturday - the BV Convention day - is the day I'll probably bring her home. Truthfully, if she's doing well, I'm going out for a drink Saturday night. Sorry I misunderstood you.

If it's anything, please be aware that they don't want to break bread with us so the chances of them showing up are slim to none. We wish your Mom a great outcome with her surgery. They're doing amazing things these days. Nancy went in this past Monday at 6 am to get her appendix removed. Five hours later, she was back in the car on her way home. Anuway, night seems better for the BV thing but we can make both. So, someone decide when and post it. Suggest doing it on the main site as not all may read the other ones.

The problem is that my mother is nearly 85 years old, has a bad heart, breathing difficulties, etc. We went from the anesthesiologist refusing to take her on as a patient to telling her that he'll give her a spinal and light anesthesia. I'm not concerned as much about the procedure as I am her surviving the procedure.
So, if you all meet when I'm not available please know that I'll be thinking of you.
