Far from a bust.
10 goals with limited minutes and missing games.
And he's making strides defensively as well. He was backchecking last night and is playing even better defensively tonight.

I should have waited until the game was over to post....lol
Carter, JVR, and Zherdev......4 goals tonight.
Looks like they might have something with this line.

I should have waited until the game was over to post....lol Carter, JVR, and Zherdev......4 goals tonight. Looks like they might have something with this line. The Flyers are legitimately the best team in the league right now. The top three lines are all equally deadly and no team can really stop all of them. The Proger injury worries me though. I'm also very curious to see what becomes of Leighton and if that becomes a distraction. I can't believe Lavy is happy with Leighton being healthy the way Boucher and Bobrovsky are both playing. I say send him to the Phantoms. I'm still not happy about the circumstances surrounding his back and his contract. Combine that with the fact that I don't think they should have signed him regardless and I think he needs to be shelved. I'd say traded but there's zero value there so I say bury him in the minors.

RW...I agree about Leighton. He held back on that injury to get a contract and now he should be buried in the minors.
Zherdev, he just keeps scoring and now he's laying out to block shots too.
Could it be that the best coach in Philly might just be Lavy?

His second goal was ridiculous. The only problem is finding a way to get him to play every game like he's playing against the team responsible for his 1 year Russian exile.

JVR hit 101 on the gun with his slapper last night. Hardest on the team. Nodl was fastest, JVR second.

Jody Shelley is an idiot

He may very well be an idiot, but he was justified in throwing that punch. Alberst folded like a deck of cheap cards, and I hope he thanked his team mate for cross checking Shelley in the back which led to him eating a fist. And Leighton is buried....lol.

I like the new Prongerized Coburn. He'll be a force is he keeps playing it hard physically. It's about time he started using that size IMO.

How about that Isles-Pens game last night? I didn't watch the game live but after looking at YouTube clips, it might have been the most entertaining game of the year. Good for Isles for finally standing up for themselves and beating the shit, both on the score board and physically, out of the Penguins. I would be embarrassed if I was a pens fan today because of Talbot and Orpik. What a joke that team really is.

I never thought I'd say this but Mario needs to STFU. How dare he come out with that self righteous statement about the league when he has the dirtiest player in the league on his roster AND he just resigned him. Maybe Super Mario should have said something when Cooke nearly killed Savard last year or when he was suspended again this season for trying to hurt Tyutin. Fuck Mario and his double standard BS.
Oh and by the way the Pens lead the league in major penalties and overall PIM this season. Maybe Mario should take a good look at the stats before opening his mouth.

When Richards was a late game scratch for the Flyers against the Canes they wanted to dress Zherdev but they couldn't find him so Shelley got the call. That pretty much sums up Zherdev's season and career eh Blonde?

That pretty much sums up Zherdev's season and career eh Blonde? That's the first I heard of that, but at this point Zherdev isn't the problem. This team has been playing like complete shit since the all star break and #18 has been invisible. What I see now looks like an early round playoff exit.

Bump, because I can't take the main forum anymore.
#18 is still a piece of shit and this team is going to bow out in the first round.

Flyers in 7 if they're lucky. Don't have a good feeling at all.
Caps in 6 Boston in 5 Lightning in 7
Fuck the West.

Heard on the radio on the way to the game that Richie wasn't really sick when he missed practice the other day, nor was it a "maintenance" day. The word is he was late for practice and Homer sent him home. I spoke to someone who would know last night and there's real concern in the organ i zation that Richie has a drinking problem.
On a side note typical Flyers last night. Everyone was focused on Bob and then of course the Flyers can't even get more than a couple decent scoring chances all game. Ugly PP too.

As a life-long NY Rangers fan old enough to have suffered through the Broad St. Bullies days, I never can see enough Flyer defeats. BTW, Rainier, I have enjoyed buffalo burgers in the past out in Colorado. How did yours taste last night?

Get ready for the Boucher Leighton reunion tour. I hope Lavy knows what he's doing here.

Bob didn't do himself any favors by saying he wasn't mentally recovered from game 2 yet. Bob is spent, and I think they're making the right move, but that doesn't mean I have faith in these two bums.
